Do you know that there are various ways that you can make your cake and achieve a unique result. On this article, we are going to discuss on different ways we can make our cake
1) Creaming method: this method can be used especially when sugar and fat are in equal proportion, you add your sugar to your butter and turn using your spatula in anti clock direction, or if you have a cake mixer, its easier. Cakes for this method includes queen cakes, Victoria sandwich, wedding and Christmas cakes.
2) Rubbing -in - method: in this method, the finger tips are used. This method is preferred when the proportion of the fat to the flour is more. If rubbing in is done well, the product will look like fine bread crumbs. Cakes for this method are the luncheon cake, rock buns cake, etc.
3) Melting method : in this method, the fat and the sugar are melted together and later added to the dry ingredients and this method can be used to produce the chocolate spongy cakes, etc.
4) The all - in one method: This method uses soft margarine. All the ingredients are beaten together in a cake mixing machine. This method can be used to produce the peach dessert cakes, fairy cakes, Rich queen cakes, Economical queen cakes, etc.
5) Whisking method: in this method, the eggs and sugar are whisked vigorously until fluffy and thick. The flour is also folded in lightly. This method is good in vegetarian cakes, example : carrot cake. You can also use whisking method for your spongy cake.

For me the creaming method gives me what I want and the idea of using the cake mixer makes it a lot easier and smooth for me .
