WHAT'S MY SKIN TYPE
So many people do not know their skin type and this makes them to make the wrong choice of cosmetics or a wrong choice of a beauty routine. When we know our skin type, we do not need to buy fancy or expensive skin products.
Now .. What type of skin do I have
We have four types of skin, and yours would fall into one of the types listed below
1) Dry skin : Dry skin often feels tight, especially after cleansing. They are very prone to flaking, cracking and fine wrinkles, dry skin is easily irritated or sensitive.
2) Oily Skin : Oily skin are shiny, with larger pores. Acne and greasy face. They are more prone to blackheads and blemishes.
3) Combination skin / Normal skin: this has medium sized pores, and tends to have a smooth texture, with good circulation and healthy colour. Oily areas tends to be in the t-zone areas ( Forehead, nose, and chin), while dryness usually appears around the cheeks. This type of skin is relatively clear and gets occasional pimple.
4) Sensitive skin : is more delicate, with fine pores. This type of skin is easily irritated, causing allergic reaction, such as rash.
Now we know our individual skin type, let's discuss on daily tips of taking care of the skin in general.
a. Limit bath time: Long and hot showers removes oil from your skin. Use warm water, rather than hot water.
b. Avoid wrong soaps: strong detergents and soaps can remove oil from your skin, instead, use mild ones.
c. Shave carefully: To protect and lubricate your skin, apply shaving cream or gel before shaving, shave in the direction the hair grows to avoid irritation.
d. Pat dry: After washing or bathing, gently pat your skin with a towel, not wiping, so that some moisture remains on your skin.
e. Moisturize dry skin: if your skin falls under the dry skin category, use a moisturizer that suits your skin type.
